Public Has Chance to Comment on Pantheon Project

Posted on October 10th, 2017

The public will have a chance to voice their opinions on the proposed Pantheon Business theatre at tonight’s County Council Meeting.

The item is listed for discussion on the agenda for tonight’s meeting, with the Executive Director of the Southern Indiana Development Corporation Greg Jones and Don Villwock scheduled to speak before the issue will be opened for public comment.

The proposed idea would see the former theatre transformed into a business incubator, a space for entrepreneurs to come together to either work on projects of their own or collaborate on projects that would come to fruition in the city of Vincennes.

It’s estimated the cost for turning the Pantheon into a business incubator would be around 2-point-4 million dollars.

The idea is on the table for both the city and county to invest in the venture, as would other businesses in the area, to split the cost of the project.

Tonight’s County Council meeting gets underway at 5:00 p.m. at the Fortnightly Club on 6th Street in Vincennes.
