A man accused of murdering his girlfriend is scheduled to appear in court this afternoon.
At 1:30 p.m. CT, all parties involved in the trial of Lance Marley are set to reconvene in Gibson County to find out if he is competent to stand trial. The case against Marley, who is accused of stabbing his girlfriend to death, was set to begin in August before a motion was granted for Marley to undergo a psychiatric evaluation.
Marley was taken into custody in October of 2016 after police were called to the residence he and his girlfriend, Lindsey Fleck, both lived. There, they found Fleck in the driveway not breathing, with Marley nearby.
Marley faces a murder charge in the case. If found guilty on the charge, he could face up to 65 years in prison.
