KCARC’S 1972 Community Center opened its doors to the public Sunday.

The new facility will offer a wide variety of activities including laser tag, a rock wal for climbing as well as opportunties for arts and crafts.

Facilty Director Brent McClarron adds if your hungry you can visit the food court for a quick bite to eat.

KCARC Board Member Jerry Coonrod says the new community center is open to the entire community and not just clients of KCARC.

Operating hours for the new community will be 9:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Monday through¬†Friday, and 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. on Saturdays. McClarron says a website has been created with a list of daily activities. You can go to 1972kcarc.com to find out what’s taking place or go to the community center’s facebook page.
